Dr. Han Na Cho graduated from Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. Dr. Cho then earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia. After graduating from dental school, she completed a General Practice Residency (GPR) at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in New York and continued her education at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where she earned her specialty certificate in Endodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry degree.
During her endodontic residency, Dr. Cho received the American Association of Endodontist Foundation’s (AAEF) competitive research grant to pursue a project on the effects of COVID-19 on the dental pulp tissue. She was awarded the highest-scored research proposal and was featured in the AAEF’s 2021 Winner’s Circle. During the American Association of Endodontists (AAE) 2022 Annual Meeting in Phoenix, AZ, Dr. Cho was awarded 1st place in the AAE Resident Research Award for her project on dual-RNA sequencing.
With a passion to stay connected with her specialty, Dr. Cho also served on the Resident Expert Advisory Council (REACH) composed of 10 residents representing a broad cross-section of the resident community. Dr. Cho is an American Board of Endodontics eligible endodontist and is currently an active member of the American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association and Greater Houston Dental Society.
Dr. Cho believes the ability to help patients get out of pain with endodontic therapy is the most rewarding aspect of her profession, and she enjoys getting to know her patients, and making sure her patients feel comfortable and involved during the entire process. On the days away from the office, Dr. Cho enjoys spending time with her family and friends, trying new restaurants and coffee shops with her fiancé, and catching up on Korean drama.
